Google People Card

Google declared another feature that allows people to add themselves to search. It's called Google People Cards. These are basically virtual business cards made for influencers, entrepreneurs and freelancers. But, can be used by anybody to expand their current prospects.

Using this feature, people can make virtual visiting cards for themselves, it will show up when someone looks for you on Google. These open profiles are planned for giving professionals a one-stop-destination for all of their important accurate information stored at one place.

As per Google, the more the information provided by the user, the simpler it will be for others to search for them. The company has also taken strict measures to avoid misuse of the personal information through the new feature, It will only let you make one People Card per account. Moreover, there are also options to provide feedback to the company and report accounts if the users come across any fraudulent content. Creating a People Card is as easy as signing into your Google account. You need to follow simple steps below to sign up for Google People Cards:

  1. Users need to sign into their Google account and then look up their name on Google search
  2. This will prompt a new option called “add me to Search” or “get started”, tap on it
  3. This will open a form that asks users to provide a bio/details
  4. The next step is to add a profile image, a description, website and social media details of the accounts you want to share
  5. If you feel comfortable, you can also add your email id and phone number where you can be reached

To create a people card, users must sign into their Google account and search for their own name or “add me to search” and click on the “Get started” button. Each Google account is limited to one people card and a phone number is required for authentication. Multiple modules will appear in the search results for people who share the same name. People cards can be deleted by their owners at any time.
